During a visit to a cathedral in Staffordshire on the start of the week, the King was shouted at by a man who questioned him about his brother's links with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man inquired how long the King had been aware about his sibling's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, and also questioned whether he had asked the authorities to "conceal" for Andrew.

Despite the protest, there were crowds of well-wishers and cheers for the King, who was in Staffordshire for an ceremony.

Prince Andrew's links with Epstein have been under close examination in the past few weeks. The prince, who gave up his royal duties earlier this month, has strongly denied any wrongdoing.

"How long have you been aware about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the authorities to conceal for Andrew?"

The monarch ignored the questions but carried on greeting supporters, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One fan can be heard asking him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the protester to "go away" and to "shut up".

Controversy Reignited by Posthumous Publication

The scandal over the Duke of York's connections to Epstein has been brought back into focus by misconduct claims repeated in Virginia Giuffre's posthumously-published memoir.

In the publication, the accuser claims she had sexual encounters with the prince on multiple times, including one instance with Epstein and "several other minors"

Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with the plaintiff in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions Over Finances and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, fresh questions have been asked about how he is able to finance his way of life despite not being a working royal.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Royal Lodge has intensified the examination over his living arrangements - even though he made large payments initially, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned front of MPs to give evidence about his rental agreement of his lodge.

But last Thursday, the government declined to give MPs time to discuss the prince's status or his home, despite growing pressure for scrutiny.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might relocate of his home - or where he might reside.
